Emergency First Response (EFR) training teaches you how to respond confidently and effectively to life-threatening and non-life-threatening emergencies. This one-day course focuses on primary care (CPR) and secondary care (first aid), giving you the skills to stabilize a patient until emergency medical services arrive. You'll learn how to assess injuries and illnesses, apply bandages and splints, manage shock and serious bleeding, and perform CPR — including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). While not a dive course, EFR is a required certification for the PADI Rescue Diver course and is valuable for anyone in everyday life situations.
