PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to help you improve your diving skills through guided experience. Over the course of two days, you'll complete five adventure dives: two mandatory (Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation), plus three specialty dives of your choice. Options include Fish Identification, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Digital Underwater Imaging, Dive Against Debris, Dry Suit, Underwater Naturalist, and more. Each specialty dive counts as credit toward the corresponding full PADI Specialty course. This course is perfect for divers looking to explore new interests and dive sites while gaining confidence under professional guidance.

• Deep diving procedures and safety considerations

• Underwater navigation using compass and natural landmarks

• Specialty dive techniques based on chosen dives (e.g., buoyancy control, marine life ID, underwater photography)

• Better planning and awareness underwater

• Increased confidence and experience in varied diving situations

• PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)

• Minimum age:

  • 15+ for Advanced Open Water Diver certification

  • 12–14 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver

  • 10–11 for Junior Adventure Diver (can upgrade upon turning 12)

• Comfortable swimming ability and good health
